Young people who belong to a youth club in Worksop have come together to raise money for military charity Help for Heroes.
Carlton Youth Centre is believed to be ready to hand over a cheque for £268 after hosting a regular event known as Fun Friday, reports Worksop Today.
Over the course of the last two years, those behind the special night have been collecting what they can to come up with the sum.
These fun nights have tended to include a raffle and the sale of buns, while there was also a sponsored walk held on the Welbeck Estate, all in a bid to raise cash for Help for Heroes.
Staff who work at the youth centre have now issued a heartfelt thanks to all of the young people who have taken part in the fundraising scheme, as well as their parents and carers who have contributed so frequently.
