Most people will be familiar with the tale of Sleeping Beauty.

It details the story of a princess who is put to sleep for 100 years as part of an enchantment spell.

While Nicole Delian's situation is not so severe, she has been known to pass out for up to 64 days in a row.

The youngster has a condition known as Kleine-Levin Syndrome – also termed Sleeping Beauty Syndrome – and it means that she will regularly doze off for 17 or 18 hours of the day.

Her mother Vicki said to the Metro: "We took her from doctor to doctor, they still couldn't figure out what it was. One doctor even said she was doing it for attention."

Indeed, one year she even managed to sleep right through Christmas because of the problem.

While sleeping for that long might seem like a great way to pass time, I'm sure after a while it would start to get pretty annoying.
