The long winter days can be tough on most people as they crave the sunshine of summer.

However, this is particularly true of Aidan Smith, because the young boy is bizarrely allergic to the cold.

Due to his condition, he will break out in hives if touched by anything colder than his body temperature.

It means young Aidan never leaves the house without his gloves, scarf and balaclava on.

His mother Melissa stated: "It can just be a little breeze in the summer that causes a reaction. He can't have ice lollies or ice cream and has to brush his teeth with warm water."

It must be tough for the young lad, but I have never heard of anything like this before.

One thing's for sure, he'll not be taking any trips to the North or South Pole anytime soon and I think Australia would be a much better destination for him.
