A man has revealed he is currently undertaking a training programme for an overnight trek that he will complete in support of Help for Heroes (H4H).
Colin Powell, a 30-year-old store manager from York, will walk and jog the 62 miles between Manchester and Sheffield to raise funds for the charity, reports the Press.
He has set a minimum target of £400, which he hopes to raise once awareness of his journey is raised.
"This charity is close to my heart as my grandfather was a Second World War veteran, so I would like to support the cause," Mr Powell explained.
The enterprising fundraiser has already taken an unusual step in a bid to drive donations, as he published a naked photograph of himself on Facebook with a sign containing details of the trek covering his body.
He added that although he plays football and swims, he has never done anything like this before so it will be a huge challenge.
