This year's X Factor hopefuls – who have already laid down a track in aid of Help for Heroes – continued with their charity work yesterday (November 17th) by meeting injured servicemen at the Headley Court rehabilitation centre in Surrey.
The group spent several hours chatting to the military personnel, with Matt Cardle – one of the favourites to win – quoted by the Daily Mail as saying it was "an amazing experience" and singer Katie Waissel adding that "it was amazing, so, so wonderful … It just puts everything into perspective".
A cover version of David Bowie's classic hit Heroes has been produced by the contestants, with all monies raised to be put towards the cash required to build five regional Personnel Recovery Centres for injured soldiers.
This comes after revellers in Redditch stripped off for a naughty calendar shoot in aid of Help for Heroes, the Redditch Advertiser reported.
