Single soldiers looking for love may want to look to America, which has been named as the best looking nation in the world, according to a survey of 5,000 Brits.
Research from www.OnePoll.com found that people ranked the US population more aesthetically appealing than those from other nations, ahead of Brazil in second and Spain in third.
Australians took fourth, ahead of Italy and Sweden in fifth and sixth respectively.
England took a respectable seventh place, with Scotland down in 179th.
A spokesman from the website said: ”The likes of Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt all help America’s image as a hotbed of good-looking people."
He added that the US has something of an advantage over other countries as it has a population of more than 300 million people.
Once single soldiers have met up with a potential partner they may want to act spontaneously, a flirting tactic recently suggested by writer Candice Hill, speaking to the Daily Record.
