The completion of a tough obstacle course has resulted in fundraisers generating thousands of pounds for servicemen and women injured fighting for their country.
Participants had to overcome barriers such as cargo nets and monkey bars as they looked to conquer the Warrior Adrenaline Race at Dunstable Downs, Luton Today reports.
Hosted by Regiment Fitness, the event saw 446 individuals test the limits of their endurance as they completed the courses – one 10 km, the other 5 km – with around £10,000 raised in total.
The money will be donated to forces charity Help for Heroes, which was founded in October 2007 by Bryn and Emma Parry, while those who took part and finished the course were presented with medals for their efforts.
An all-day live DJ was on-hand to keep the crowds entertained throughout the day – which was the first of its kind to be staged in Bedfordshire – while free refreshments were also supplied.
