A fundraising event that will see participants walk on water is set to be held next weekend.
The challenge will see teams of participants take on a total of 25 miles in four transparent plastic orbs, which they will use to travel from Keswick to Workington, the Times and Star reports.
It is in aid of Help for Heroes and the volunteers hope to raise at least £10,000 for the charity, which supports injured soldiers.
Barry Hunton from Ling Beck in Seaton has assisted with the plans and says he was impressed by the plastic orbs.
"As soon as I saw it I said 'I'm going to have fun in that'," he explains.
The group all participated in a dummy-run of the challenge in the swimming pool at Workington Leisure Centre.
Another expedition aiming to support injured soldiers is being taken on by ex-troops and Prince Harry, who are currently walking to the North Pole to raise funds for Walking With The Wounded.
