A special edition of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (WWTBAM) is to be held to coincide with Remembrance Sunday.

Three celebrities – Hugh Bonneville, John Thompson and Melanie Sykes – will be partnered with members of the armed forces to raise money for the navy, army and air force benevolent funds.

Downton Abbey star Bonneville will play with Lieutenant Gary Beels, a submarine engineer in the Royal Navy, Sykes is taking part beside Major Nicola McCullough – an Army medic – and Thompson is paired with Seargent Derek Holland from the Royal Air Force.

"I'm sure we'll have a lot of fun on the night and hopefully we'll raise some much-needed money for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity," said Bonneville.

The episode will be hosted by Chris Tarrant and is due to air on November 9th, while it means the charities could receive up to £1 million each, depending on the knowledge of the participants.
