A group of armed forces veterans are taking on a gruelling climbing challenge to raise funds for Talking2Minds.
Stewart Campbell, Andrew Glover and Steve Kenneford are all ex-servicemen and alongside workmate Alan Milenkovic will scale Snowdon in Wales as many times as possible in 24 hours, the Northamptonshire Evening Telegraph reports.
The men are hoping to collect over £1,000 from the adventure and Mr Campbell revealed they have been training ahead of the attempt.
He added Talking2Minds – which seeks to help those suffering from post traumatic stress disorder or other stress related illnesses – is a brilliant initiative because it develops a "rapport" with veterans.
"There was nothing like this when I left the army," Mr Campbell observed.
Speaking about the issue of mental health problems within the armed forces, he stated: "The size of the problem is vast, but a relatively small sum of money can make a considerable difference."
