Keen bakers from all four corners of the UK are ready to take part in an annual event designed to raise money for Help for Heroes.
The charity's Colossal Cake Sale is due to take place from April 19th to May 5th and more than 500 gatherings have already been registered, reports the Market Rasen Mail.
This is great news for Help for Heroes, as it means it has already matched the number of sales held last year, despite the fact the 2014 event is still more than a week away.
Every cupcake sold, cup of tea poured and brownie eaten will raise money for the good cause and go towards supporting some of the thousands of servicemen and women who are injured while working in the forces.
Emma Parry, co-founder of Help for Heroes, said: "It's such a simple way to help raise funds for our service personnel and veterans and I'd urge anyone with a passion for baking to sign up now and help boost the campaign even further."
