A troop who is confident in her sexual ability will enjoy a healthier love life, a dating guru has claimed.

Paula Hall, sexual and relationship psychotherapist at Relate, stated that a lot of female soldiers see their sex lives slow down after the age of 35 for many reasons.

Tiredness, stress and other lifestyle factors get in the way of a healthy sex life, however, many are uncomfortable with their bodies and the state of their relationships.

"The more you look after your body generally and the more confidence you can feel about yourself, the healthier the state of your relationship – the more chance there is that you are going to continue to have really good sex," Ms Hall said.

According to a survey by Sky Real Lives, 28 per cent of women aged 35 and over never have sex, with ladies in Scotland the most deprived as 38 per cent of those polled admit to never having intercourse.
