A train driver is showing how much he supports soldiers in a charity mission that aims to raise money for Help for Heroes.

Brian Skeet will begin a 92-mile bike ride on August 28th and is being joined by five friends for the journey.

He lives in north Essex and works as a National Express East Anglia train driver in Colchester, stating that his proximity to the local army barracks means "one can't help but be moved by the events affecting the brave soldiers".

It is this that has inspired Mr Skeet to take on the challenge and attempt to raise as much money as possible for the organisation, which was set up by Bryn and Emma Parry with the aim of assisting those wounded while on duty.

His mission will see him cycle from Kings Lynne, Norfolk, to High Ongar in Essex, passing towns such as Ely, Fordham and Saffron Walden on the way.
