Have you ever needed to sleep so bad that you just nodded off at the first place you found?

Well, one holidaymaker took this a bit too far when he tried to get some shut-eye in Rome's Fiumicino airport.

The 36-year-old jumped over the check-in desks and got himself into the foetal position on the baggage belt.

However, once this carousel started to move, airport officials were left bemused when the X-ray showed up a human body.

Unsurprisingly, this sparked panic among the workers and the man had to be brought to the hospital to make sure he had not been injured by exposure to the powerful X-ray machine.

One member of staff refuted allegations that it showed a lack of security at the airport, adding: "[He] could have carried on going round the main belt but he could never have ended up in sensitive areas of the airport."

Still, I wouldn't fancy waking up inside an X-ray machine.
