Tigers are meant to be among the most ferocious animals on the planet.

I know that if I ran in to one of the beasts I would be very worried about my safety, but it seems they are not all as brave as expected.

This is because footage has emerged of a 22-month-old Bengal tigress getting scared at the sight of a leaf on the river.

The inhabitant of Bandhavgarh National Park got the fright of her life when the foliage started to float towards her, the Metro reports.

According to the news provider, this resulted in the big cat losing her composure and she started to lash out in the direction of the vegetation.

It is not the only bizarre run-in involving a tiger this year, as in February a 55-year-old Malaysian woman scared off one of the animals with a soup ladle after it attacked her husband.
