People who are keen to attend this year's Burghley House Battle Proms on July 5th have just one more day to buy tickets at a reduced price.

The early bird rate for admission of just £29.50 expires at midnight tomorrow (January 31st), after which it will cost more to enjoy the festivities, reports the Rutland & Stamford Mercury.

A whole host of entertainment is on offer at the event, from a full programme of classical music to a Spitfire display and a breathtaking fireworks show.

What's more, collections for the military charity Combat Stress will be held throughout the evening, with the money raised going towards helping ex-servicemen and women with psychological conditions.

Perhaps the highlight of the evening will come when the signature piece of the Battle Proms – Beethoven's Battle Symphony – is played alongside 193 live firing cannon.

It is the tenth year the Burghley House Battle Proms has been held and Songs of Praise presenter Pam Rhodes has been confirmed as the host of the event.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801688489-ADNFCR
