Help for Heroes (H4H) has been handed a cheque for £1,300 from a theatre group in South Yorkshire, which should help it to support injured and wounded servicemen.
Worksop Today has told how the Lyric Theatre in Dinnington raised the money at two special events that were held last year.
Each was a Sounds of the 60s dance that were well attended by local people keen to support the popular charity.
Graham and Anne Mitchell, along with members of the Graham Mitchell Presents committee, were on hand to award H4H with the cheque at the theatre in Laughton Road recently.
H4H is this year celebrating its 29th anniversary of helping people who have been harmed while serving their country in some of the world's most dangerous environments.
As well as providing the money and support to former servicemen, it aims to help their families as they adapt to the changes caused by certain injuries.
