The “magic of Christmas” can make dating easier

Singletons should take advantage of the "magic of Christmas" to help them find their perfect partner.

This is according to dating expert David Wygant, who noted the festive period is ideal for meeting up with people and doing activities not normally considered on a first date.

He added people should take all of the pressure out of the situation and not push themselves to get a boyfriend or girlfriend by Christmas Eve.

"It's a great time of year to have a fun date – you can go window shopping, check out the decorations [or] go have some hot cocoa," Mr Wygant remarked.

The specialist – who has been helping men and women find love for over 20 years – noted there is a possibility that people could connect with someone over Christmas they never thought they would give a chance to.

Most major cities now have Christmas markets and these can be an ideal meeting place.
