Help for Heroes is set to benefit from the work of several tattoo enthusiasts in Gloucester, after they announced plans to go ahead with a military-themed project.

The Gods of Ink tattoo studio in the West Country city are asking local people to come in to the shop on June 22nd in order to have a pattern inked on their bodies.

All of the tattoos they provide on the day in question will be related to the armed forces in some way, with the designs available including a poppy, a rifle and a serial number.

Owner Lisa Richmond told the Citizen the special day is being held to support Help for Heroes after the murder of Lee Rigby in Woolwich recently.

"We are going to make it a proper event and we'll have a raffle and a chocolate fountain too," she explained.

Some of the proceeds will go to Help for Heroes, while some will also be handed to Mr Rigby's family.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801597557-ADNFCR
