A swimming fundraiser has been held to help generate funds for soldiers injured in battle.
The event, which saw 14 participants from Wisbech swim a mile each, raised £2,700 for the Help for Heroes cause, the Wisbech Standard reports.
Members of the police and fire service were involved in the spectacle, which saw the team complete 900 lengths of the Hudson Leisure Centre Pool.
Organiser of the event Sue Clarke said the gang had an initial target of £1,000 and was delighted this amount was surpassed.
"It's a cause that a lot of people are very passionate about and I'm absolutely over the moon with how much we raised," she added.
Ms Clarke noted she is lining up more fundraisers in the future, including a charity run.
Members of the Royal Navy in Portsmouth are also taking on a water-based challenge for the charity, as 21 divers are planning on completing a 10.5-mile swim around Lake Windermere.
