Study shows Mr Average is Mr Right

Individuals using online dating to find their perfect partner may not necessarily be in search of a tall and handsome man.

This is because research carried out by OnePoll, on behalf of Orangina, found that ladies are looking for a Mr Average.

The study discovered the ideal man is between 30 and 45 years old, 5ft 10in, dark haired and in full-time employment.

Some 3,000 women were questioned for the research and the findings seem to go against the usual concept of an Adonis being the perfect partner.

Orangina spokesman Steven Simpson said: "We have discovered that what women really want in Mr Right is dependability, domesticity, a little romance, humour and an average size in height terms."

James Preece – who is known as the Dating Guru and is the author of The Insider's Dating Guide – noted a degree of realism is needed by ladies who are trying to find love.
