A University of Plymouth student has written a song to raise money for Help for Heroes.
Entitled Memories of You, psychology student Christopher Bevan's tune has been inspired by family members' stories of their military experience over the years, the Western Morning News reports.
Mr Bevan observed the point of the track is to make the public aware "that there are thousands of people willing to give their lives for something they believe in".
Soprano Lucy Watmough – who also happens to be a friend of his – has recorded the song and it is set to be performed at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Proms Concert.
The tune has also received the royal seal of approval, after the Duke of Edinburgh said he was a fan of it.
All of the money collected from the sale of the track will be given to the military charity as it seeks to build a number of recovery centres.
