Wounded military heroes were treated to a special performance by electrical string quartet by Escala last week, it has been reported.

The band paid a visit to the Help for Heroes Recovery Centre at Tedworth House as part of a bid to understand more about the work Help for Heroes does? for injured servicemen.

The visit comes ahead of the Cricket for Heroes event on September 17th. Escala are also set to hold another performance at the Kia Oval for the inaugural international Help for Heroes Twenty20 cricket fundraiser next month.

?As part of the visit, members from the quartet met volunteers at the recovery centre and had a tour of the facilities.
They then spent time with two Cricket for Heroes players, Ellie Day and Tracy Hills, to hear about the role the charity has played in their recovery.

Speaking about their visit, a representative of Escala, said: “After seeing Help for Heroes Recovery Centre Tedworth House and meeting some wounded servicemen and women, we have been inspired by their strength and positive attitude in overcoming adversity.

“The visit was truly inspirational and we were overwhelmed by what we saw. It is reassuring to know that our wounded heroes are getting the first class support they deserve. We are extremely proud and more humbled than ever to have the opportunity to play a part in the Cricket for Heroes event next month and to be able to show our support to those who sacrificed so much is a privilege.”

After the tour, the girls from ??Escala then held a concert in the Presentation Room, where they played instrumental versions of Live and Let Die and Palladio.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801798415-ADNFCR
