The Square Mile Salute took place last night (February 22nd) as money was raised for various armed forces charities.

Help for Heroes, ABF The Soldiers' Charity, the Royal British Legion and the Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund are all set to benefit from the evening.

Some of the top chefs in the country cooked a six-course meal for the cream of London's business talent at the Guildhall in the capital.

Raymond Blanc – who owns the Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons – gave one of the keynote speeches at the event.

Christian Garcia – chef to Prince Albert of Monaco – Bernhard Mayer of The Savoy and John Williams from The Ritz London were some of the cooks who displayed their talents.

It is the third year in a row the event has been held and a number of prizes were also auctioned off, including a four-night stay at the Fairmont Monte Carlo Hotel while the F1 grand prix is taking place.
