A scheme that aims to support soldiers injured on duty and get them active again has been welcomed by Help for Heroes founder Bryn Parry.
Battle Back allows individuals to have the same sporting opportunities as able-bodied people, the Daily Telegraph explains.
"[It offers] the chance to let these guys feel the wind in their faces, the sun on their back and the adrenaline in their veins – to do what they thought was no longer possible," Mr Parry remarks.
Ryan Seary is just one of those to have benefited already, as he was given the chance to play golf after losing his left arm and left leg in a roadside explosion in Afghanistan.
The Ministry of Defence explains Battle Back is attempting to build on the proven track record of successful physical and mental rehabilitation that sport can have.
It is also known to give a good foundation for participants to develop a positive self-image and outlook, the organisation notes.
