Soldiers' wives Teri Edwards and Michelle Wild are to hold a charity ball in aid of forces charity Help for Heroes, it has been announced.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the pair – who are both married to serving Merseyside soldiers – are helping to raise cash for injured personnel and have also vowed to assist men and women hurt physically or emotionally when serving their country.

In March, the pair are holding a black tie dinner and ball at the Hillbark Hotel, Royden Park, the Wirral. Tickets for the event are being sold for £45 each or attendees can secure a table of ten for £450.

Live entertainment from local bands will be provided alongside the meal, as will games and an auction.

Meanwhile, London mayor Boris Johnson has recently spoken about his admiration for serving members of the armed forces while attending a charity banquet City AM reported.
