A trio of soldiers have decided to do what they can to raise money for Help for Heroes and will aim to win donations by completing an impressive golfathon.
Corporal James Rochester, Corporal Mohan Thapa and Captain Michael Thomas are playing 12 rounds of golf over the course of four days this week, reports Get Hampshire.
The trio will carry out the challenge at Sherfield Oaks course near Basingstoke, Pine Ridge in Frimley, Oak Park close to Farnham and Blue Mountain in Bracknell.
Corporal Rochester said: "We are looking forward to our golfathon, although we are aware that it will be an exhausting few days."
He added that all of the soldiers have friends who have been injured or killed while serving their country and the thought of these individuals will spur them on during their mammoth task.
They have already attracted £600 worth of donations and hope to make this figure around £3,500 by the time they finish.
