A Sky News cricket team will be taking to the field in an attempt to raise money for soldiers wounded in action.

Presenters from the channel, such as Colin Brazier and Jon Desborough, will be batting in aid of the charity Help for Heroes, Sky News reports.

The correspondents will face up against two pub sides from Wootton Basset on August 29th at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground in Wiltshire.

Simon Cole, team manger for the broadcasters, said: "Sky News is delighted to say thank you and play its part in the Help for Heroes campaign."

As well as the action on the crease, there will also be a raffle – with the winner receiving a signed picture of the Sky Sports commentary team.

It was recently revealed a host of famous names have been added to the performers appearing at the upcoming Help for Heroes gig, including Katherine Jenkins and Enrique Iglesias.
