Singer Christopher Cross to sample online dating?

Online dating is suited to an array of individuals looking to meet somebody new and even the rich and famous could use the platform to their advantage.

It has emerged singer/songwriter Christopher Cross may well turn to the web, as he told BlogTalkRadio.com that it can be difficult to meet people, Contactmusic reports.

"The problem is with the social dating thing for me it's hard because if you're well known you wonder why people are interested," he said.

But this could mean online dating is ideal, as the singer might not be instantly recognised when he is behind a computer screen, rather than being seen in person.

Cross – whose best-known hit is perhaps the 1980s track Sailing – explained he does not want to stay single in his 60s and would like to get "more involved" in online matchmaking.

The method is often ideal for those who do not fancy heading to clubs and bars to meet a love interest.
