Have you ever tried your hand at fishing?

It's something most guys sample at some point in their lives, if only so they can enjoy a testosterone-filled day out with the lads.

Most novices don't have much luck and spend more time untangling their wires than catching anything productive, but they might want to take a few tips from Chris Grimmer.

The Sheffield angler was on a fishing trip in the River Ebro near Barcelona, Spain, when he managed to break a world record by reeling in an albino catfish measuring eight feet and weighing 194 lbs.

This placed Mr Grimmer in the record books, as he beat Shelia Penfold's feat of netting a fish that tipped the scales at 192 lbs.

The fisherman could be seen grinning as he stood in waist-height waters along with two friends, with the trio struggling to heave up the catfish's huge body.

Recent snaps taken by Australian visitor Katrina Bridgeford showed another gigantic water beast in all its glory, as she managed to take a picture of a 5.5 metre saltwater crocodile leaping vertically out of a river with its jaws wide open.

What do you think is more impressive?
