I always thought that sharks were the big boys of the sea, scaring all other predators stiff.

However, I may have to rethink this opinion after footage emerged of a shark seemingly swimming away from a killer whale.

In the end, the creature beached itself on Tuatapere's Blue Cliffs in New Zealand because it came to close to the shore.

Peter Robinson saw the incident first hand and he was in no doubt as to what happened.

"It would appear the whales were fighting the sharks. The sharks were coming ashore because they didn't want to be in the water," he added.

This has come as something of a shock to me and I may have to revaluate my opinion of Jaws and his friends.

At least you know what to do next time you do encounter one of the beasts, just get a killer whale to help you out.
