The Big Stooshie is hoping to raise £100,000 for Help for Heroes and Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association Forces Help.

Taking place between May 4th and 6th, the Scottish charity music festival will wow attendees at Howe Country Centre in Giffordtown, Fife.

Over 60 bands have been booked to appear at the event, with James, Glasvegas, The Damned and The Hoosiers all taking part.

A flypast from a Typhoon aircraft of 6 Squadron based at RAF Leuchars will signal the start of the celebration of music.

Fife Council's leisure and cultural services has donated £9,000 to the event in order to give young bands the opportunity to perform.

Michelle Sweeney, team leader of cultural partnerships, remarked that 75 per cent of the new bands taking to the Kingdom FM stage are from Fife.

"Our support will help raise awareness of these fantastic new musicians to potential music promoters and hopefully give them the chance to break into the music industry," she added.
