A runner is showing his support for soldiers by taking on his second marathon in just one week.

Pete Morgan, aged 32, has already completed the Brighton Marathon and now plans to take on the London Marathon this Sunday (April 17th), Times Series reports.

He is being sponsored to raise funds for Help for Heroes and says he is almost at his £1,500 target.

Speaking about his first challenge on April 10th, Mr Morgan revealed he completed the run in four hours and 24 minutes, despite the soaring temperatures in Brighton on the day.

"It was amazing, such a wonderful day and an incredible feeling," he said.

The 32-year-old has now collected his race number for the event in the capital and is gearing up for the second of his gruelling challenges, but revealed his is "really looking forward to it".

A recent article in the Henley Standard revealed Andy Gibbs is raising money for the same charity and recently walked from Wembley Stadium in London to Millennium Stadium in Cardiff in one week.
