A rugby club recently put on a tournament and a host of other fun activities in order to do its bit for Help for Heroes.
Cranleigh Rugby Club hosted its second annual Fat Boys 7-a-side Rugby Tournament on Saturday (June 15th), reports the West Sussex Gazette.
In the end, it was the Cranleigh Barbies who stole the show, winning the tournament ahead of Dorking, while the Dragons Destroyers managed to triumph in the Plate final.
Toby Eves, a member of the rugby club, organised the tournament and said: "The day was great fun and a considerable amount was raised for an extremely important charity doing vital good work in supporting our injured servicemen and their families."
In addition to the rugby, attendees were invited to wear fancy dress and points were awarded for the best costumes.
Overall, the event raised more than £2,500 for Help for Heroes, taking the total fund over the last two years past £5,000.
