A number of famous rugby players have stripped off to raise money for armed forces charities.

All funds from the calendar will go to Rugby for Heroes – which has been created by former Gloucester teammates Ryan Lamb and Anthony Allen.

Worchester's Marcel Garvey is Mr January in the campaign and he told the Sunday Mercury he was happy to assist with such a good cause.

"It's good to help [soldiers] because when they come back sometimes there is nothing there for them," he added.

Rugby for Heroes offers courses and mentoring to returning troops to help them adapt to life back in the UK.

British Lions Tom Croft, Mike Tindall and Ugo Monye are some of sportsmen who have taken part in the shoot.

Among the celebrities who have lent their support to the charity are actor Danny Dyer, musician Simon Webbe and TV presenters Gabby Logan and Tiff Needell.
