Fans of both golf and rugby will be contributing to charity at a match this weekend (October 26th).
Members at Mold Golf Club have teamed up to sponsor Mold Rugby Club's home fixtures against Rhyl in order to raise money for Help for Heroes, reports the Daily Post.
As well as the sponsorship, there will also be a raffle and collections for the charity on the day, increasing the pot of cash created for the good cause.
Captain of the golf club Roger Howes previously nominated Help for Heroes as the institution's charity of the year.
His son Gareth, who is a marine, was involved in a road traffic accident in America last year in which he was hit by a large vehicle.
Mr Howes explained the accident had a profound effect on everyone at the golf club as his son spent five weeks in hospital.
"Help for Heroes is a wonderful charity, never did we think that Gareth would end up benefiting from it himself," he said.
