Supporting soldiers by joining a new campaign run by Help for Heroes could make a real change to the lives of troops who have been injured while on duty.

Reporter and actor Ross Kemp – known for his role as Grant Mitchell in EastEnders – is backing the An Hour For A Hero (1H4H) scheme, the Sun reveals.

It asks those involved to give up either one hour of their time or pay to help the charity and Kemp says: "It really will make the world difference to the lives of our wounded heroes."

Other celebs to offer their support include Jeremy Clarkson, who explains his whole family are joining scheme.

The Top Gear presenter states it really isn't much to ask people and called the initiative "fantastic".

Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson loss both his legs and was injured during an explosion in Afghanistan and has also urged people to take part with the move.
