Former Bee Gee Robin Gibb has recorded a charity single with The Soldiers.

The cover of I've Got A Message For You, which was a hit for Gibb and his brothers back in 1968, will be released in October and proceeds from sales will go to various armed forces charitable organisations.

Trooper Ryan Idzi, Sergeant Major Gary Chilton and Sergeant Richie Maddocks make up The Soldiers and they have already released an album and performed with Michael Bolton.

Help for Heroes, the Army Benevolent Fund and the Royal British Legion are among the organisations that the group support.

Speaking to Look To The Stars, Gibb observed: "I'm also appearing in the video, so do keep an eye out for that and for any appearances I may make to support the release."

Gibb – whose band the Bee Gees had success with songs such as Night Fever and Stayin' Alive – recently ensured a monument will be built in London for the RAF bomber command.
