Status Quo have set a September 27th release date for their new single that aims to raise money to support soldiers.
The band have recorded a reworked version of their hit In the Army Now and all profits from sales of the single are to be donated to Help For Heroes and the British Forces Foundation.
Prince Charles has backed the move by the band, stating: "I am so delighted that Status Quo have chosen to re-release this single in aid of these very worthwhile causes."
He added both he and the Duchess of Cornwall would like to express their "warmest gratitude" to the band for supporting the charities.
Status Quo have also shot a video for the new single, which was filmed at the Kiwi Barracks of the 4-Rifles regiment and the National Tank Museum.
Further money is to be raised for Help For Heroes at a special charity gig taking place at Twickenham Stadium on September 12th.
Recently added to the bill were Enrique Iglesias, Katherine Jenkins and the Wanted.
