Single soldiers who are keen to get the ball rolling on the relationship front may wish to log on to the internet in the hope of finding love, as it has been suggested things move more quickly in the online environment.
"Relationships develop more quickly online because inhibitions are lowered, it’s easy to exchange information, people are online 24/7, there’s an (endless) amount of people you can link up with who are there for the same reason," Elly Robinson, manager of Australian Family Relationships Clearing House, told ANI.
She went on to add that real life pressures can fade away for single soldiers who use the internet, as the environment offers something of a fantasy world.
The Sydney Morning Herald recently reported that a new Nielsen poll revealed that 62 per cent of Australians looking for love online have been successful, with one in four of all partnerships now emerging from internet dating services.
