Keen quizzers in Leicestershire came together recently to raise £420 for charity and enjoy a night tackling some tremendous trivia.

The Shoulder of Mutton pub in Great Bowden hosted the event on March 2nd and all of the money raised went to Help for Heroes, reports the Lutterworth Mail.

Anthea Turnbull and Jo Hill co-organised the quiz and were grateful for HFM presenter Dave Irving's offer to act as quizmaster.

They chose to support Help for Heroes because Ms Turnbull's son is serving in the armed forces at the current time, while Ms Hill's passion is taking photos of military aircraft.

"It is such a worthwhile cause and close to our hearts," Ms Hill stated.

The pair met while doing a bucket collection for the charity at a local Tesco store, from where the idea of a quiz began.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801703580-ADNFCR
