A police force has shown its support for their brothers in arms with a charity football match.
Officers from the North Yorkshire Police raised £2,309 for the Help for Heroes foundation, after a team of sportsmen from the service played a friendly game against officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department earlier this year.
Police constable Tony Robertson, who served for almost 12 years in the army, was one of the key figures presenting the cheque to the charity and is to be one of six North Yorkshire officers to take part in the Remembrance Sunday parade in Whitehall.
He explained the force chose Help for Heroes as it is close to the public's heart, adding: "I have friends who have … been injured and still serving in the military."
Mr Robertson added it will be an honour to pay his respects to the soldiers.
Elsewhere, a Christmas fair was held in Perthshire to raise funds for Help for Heroes.
