A team of policemen were able to discover a cannabis factory in Leicester after being forced to wind down the windows on their patrol car due to one officer's wind problems.

One of the policemen on duty in the city kept breaking wind, so it was decided that bringing some fresh air into the car was the best course of action, reported Metro.

The officers joked and asked the offending colleague what he had been eating, before they realised the strong smell was actually coming from outside.

As they left the car to follow the smell, they soon came across a property with a cannabis factory inside, with the crop said to be worth about £12,000.

A police source told the Police Federation's magazine: "It was a good collar and it was all down to this officer and his flatulence."

In total, seven people at the house in Leicester were arrested in connection with the discovery.ADNFCR-2867-ID-801598860-ADNFCR
