People ‘have to be proactive’ when dating

Single people need to be proactive if they are going to find someone special.

This is the opinion of Bryony Anne Leatherbarrow, who told This is Gloucestershire that individuals cannot expect Mr or Mrs Right to just turn up.

She noted people may join walking groups, others will socialise more in an effort to meet that special someone and some will turn to online dating.

Ms Leatherbarrow observed the internet is a great platform for meeting new individuals, as nowhere else is it possible to have the opportunity to talk to such a varied collection of people.

If used properly, web-based dating offers adults the opportunity to refine their search so they can find someone they have plenty in common with.

However, she is sure there is one major issue if people are to be successful, adding: "Dating is different for everybody, but for most people, confidence often brings success."
