An optometrist firm in Chepstow has proved it is committed to supporting Help for Heroes after raising more than £200 for the military charity.
Millington Dawson Optometrists invited staff to turn up for work on June 29th dressed in red, white and blue, while every patient who visited on the day was asked to donate £1 to the charity, reports Optometry Today.
Andy Millington, a partner at the business, said the annual Armed Forces Day is a great opportunity for awareness of the military to be raised and for firms to do their bit to support servicemen and women.
"As a local independent business, it's important for us to do our bit for charity and get the community involved. We'd like to thank all our patients who were able to donate," he stated.
Raising money for Help for Heroes is a great idea for companies, as it allows them to show a positive side while helping some extremely worthy causes.
