Online dating ‘the cost-effective way to find love’

Online dating has many advantages, but cost is not typically named as one of the primary ones.

However, a new study by ConvergEx Group in the US has found looking for love on the internet can actually be a much more cost-effective option than the more traditional methods.

One factor in this is that people who meet online tend to get married after just 18.5 months, compared to the 42 months it takes offline couples to tie the knot, meaning courting costs are kept to a minimum.

As such, those who meet online spend far less on meals, trips to the cinema, flowers and presents, although they do have to cough up for membership of their chosen site.

In addition to being cost-effective, online dating is a great way for single people to meet like-minded individuals and enjoy getting to know them.
