Online dating sites ‘getting better at matching people’

Britons have been advised that they stand a greater chance of meeting Mr or Mrs Right via an online dating site than ever before.

Dan Slater, author of Love in the Time of Algorithms, has written a piece for Yahoo! Canada in which he explains web dating can help to form the happiest relationships.

He said the best sites in the business are improving all the time, thanks both to the enhanced technology they are now using to match people and the fact more individuals are signing up.

"The more information that's accumulated, and the more they learn about users and which matches they make work, they're getting wiser about how to match people up," Mr Slater stated.

While users will have to learn quickly and find ways to weed out those who are unsuitable, if they stick with it they stand a great chance of finding the perfect partner during a web browsing session.
