Online dating profiles ‘can be tricky’

Writing the perfect online dating profile is a tricky task.

This is especially true of older people, as they want to make sure they come across as interesting and accessible, but are also looking to attract like-minded individuals.

John Rushton, author and founder of thelifealchemist.org, noted people over the age of 50 are much more technologically savvy than they were ten years ago.

This means they are very comfortable using the internet, which makes it much easier for them to look at potential suitors.

"It's possibly accurate to say that senior people would be more honest, as they have little to lose, their likes are now passions [and] they have a wealth of knowledge," he added.

Mr Rushton, who is the author of Love Your Life, noted the beauty of internet dating is that it gives people the chance to cut to the chase and ask the questions they want to.
