Single soldiers hoping to find people from various backgrounds could find what they are looking for through online dating, as it has been suggested many different people use the medium.

Writing for the Huffington Post, psychotherapist Meg Schneider claimed she gets "sucked in by the seemingly endless possibilities" when she turns on her computer and attempts to find love.

The expert noted she is often presented with many possible partners, including ones keen to flaunt their money, as well as guys wishing to present themselves as family men.

She observed the array of fellas on show assert their "usual slightly hypnotic effect" on her as she dreams of the encounters she could enjoy with them, such as sunset walks on the beach or even an evening at the opera.

Time recently claimed people over the age of 50 are becoming the fastest growing age group for online daters on many matchmaking sites.
