Single soldiers in search of a simple method to hook up with prospective partners may want to turn their attentions to online dating.

This is because Denise Baptiste, in an article for One India, has claimed the system is an effective way for singletons to test the water before deciding on a suitable date.

The expert noted: "For those single couples, this online dating is an easy task as they get to know a good majority of mates at first before they fall for true love."

She explained looking for a relationship on the internet is a fun experience for many, who view the approach as an entertaining pastime.

Many individuals are beginning to see the traditional ways of meeting people as boring and are therefore keen to try new methods, Ms Baptiste added.

The increasing popularity of online dating has resulted in a fluctuation of people eager to take part in long-distance dating – or 'lodding', as it has become known – the Daily Mail recently reported.
